The copper red on tile 61 was not planned. It came from a base glaze that had been sitting mixed for six weeks and a firing that held about twenty minutes longer than intended at the top.
Two members have since reproduced it, both by replicating the long hold rather than the mixing time. That points fairly clearly at the schedule rather than the glaze aging, which is the opposite of what I assumed.
