Eighty-eight members, forty-one rye loaves, and a firm conclusion that nobody proofs rye long enough.
Rye week ran for seven days across the community, ending with a tasting at the bandstand. Forty-one loaves arrived, which is the most the swap table has ever held.
The consensus, recorded for posterity: everyone underproofs rye, and everyone slices it too early.
Joined for the bread, stayed for everything else, and now co-organizes two communities.
