Balcony Botanists is built for renters. Nobody here has a greenhouse. The constraints are the point: two square meters, four hours of afternoon sun, and a landlord who will not permit drilling.
The group’s most valuable asset is its light survey — a member-built record of what actually grows on which aspect in Marrowfield, gathered over five years of people reporting what died.
Cutting swaps happen constantly and informally. Larger seasonal sessions cover the things people find hardest: overwintering, repotting, and knowing when a plant is finished.
