Type & Tell runs a crit night that is unusually strict about one thing: you may only bring work that is not finished. Finished work invites praise, and praise is not what anyone needs at 8 PM on a Thursday.
Sessions cover everything from a wedding invitation to a hospital wayfinding system. The group includes working designers, but also a bakery owner who redesigns her own menus and a retired printer who is right more often than anyone.
The group also maintains a specimen shelf of letterpress proofs and printed ephemera collected from around Marrowfield, which members can borrow.
